After the footballing flunks, and the heroic narrow near-miss of the England Rugby team, Lewis Hamilton is now having problems with his car and fighting to make up the places on the grid to save his championship lead.
Which isn't going to happen, I suspect. Wonder if anyone from ITV will decide to use the Guillemots' "Sao Paolo" as the ending music - the lines "sometimes I could cry for miles" might be appropriate at that point.

Lewis Hamilton is the new Michael Schumacher
Great driver, but I'm starting to feel that like Schumacher before him, he's also a bit ... dodgy. Not quite up with ramming Hill off the track, perhaps more like Schu's "crashing" the car at Monaco after he'd set the fastest lap in qualifying to stop anyone else beating it.

Hamilton wins
After his initial impressive start to his Formula One career, a number of the elder statesmen of the sport commented that while it was very promising, they didn't expect him to really challenge for the title this year, and they'd see how Hamilton copes when things go wrong.
One answer to what happens when things go wrong is "he wins" = things don't appear to go wrong for him, just other people. He coped admirably with the repeated safety car interferences. Alonso's bad luck, on the other hand, continues - the pit lane closed with him running out of fuel, it was a choice of run out or take the stop-go penalty. With Massa's disqualification, Hamilton is now 8 points clear of Alonso and 15 clear of Massa.

Hamilton is damn good
Lewis Hamilton on the podium yet again - four races in a row now, and leading the championship. Surely it can't be long until his first win?
Coulthard got a fifth in the Red Bull, which is rather well done. Sato getting a point in a Super Aguri though - I'd thought they were going to be the comedy car this year...
